Chief Operating Officer
Sheri L. Middlemas serves as Chief Operating Officer with BERTOLINO LLP and is responsible for the firm’s business development and strategy. With over 20 years of proven success in operations management, Ms. Middlemas’ extensive experience is a testament to her proficiency in recognizing evolving industry dynamics and swiftly adapting to them, thereby enabling her to provide invaluable insights into uncharted opportunities for fostering new avenues of growth and expansion.
With her extensive background in legal operations management, Sheri has masterfully navigated the intricacies of the legal landscape, enabling Bertolino Law Firm to thrive in a competitive market. Her expertise lies in devising and implementing efficient processes that optimize workflow, resource allocation, and client relations. London de le Teja
Accounts Receivable Manager
London T. de la Teja serves as the Accounts Receivable Manager for Bertolino LLP and is responsible for maintaining client accounts and receivables, setting objectives for the account receivable team, monitoring processing of invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
Ms. De la Teja has developed trusting relationships with our clients and understands how to best meet their needs and assist them with their financial matters.
She has created and produced several new processes and policies to help our clients fund their case matters successfully. This includes creating and publishing several newsletter articles to inform clients about financial practices. London has implemented one-on-one calls for accounts receivable guidance and lending and financial assistance.
London was raised in Kauai, Hawaii, where she learned to swim before she could walk. Her roots run deep in the Hawaiian Islands. She moved with her family to Texas later in her life, where she received her business and mass communication degree at Texas State University. There, she formed her strengths in people skills and a business-forward attitude. London has been a part of several organizations that have helped form her today, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness and volunteering at local food banks and animal shelters. Not only does she enjoy helping people at work, but she also loves spending time with her house full of boys. On weekends, you can catch her finding the closest coffee shop and catching a country music concert.

Melissa “MJ” Hooper
Legal Support Manager
Melissa “MJ” Hooper is the Legal Support Manager and a paralegal with Bertolino LLP. In this role, she provides legal support to all attorneys within the firm and serves as the primary point of contact for both attorneys and support staff. MJ is a reliable employee who takes pride in her work. She is known for her versatility and is committed to both individual and team success. In her leadership role, she supports day-to-day operations, helps guide support staff, and works to maintain smooth and effective communication across the firm.
MJ also provides ongoing Know Your Regulator updates for attorney awareness, ensuring the legal team is informed of the most current rules, codes, and statutes—supporting accurate, up-to-date legal strategy that ultimately benefits our clients.
Mrs. Hooper graduated from San Antonio Community College in 2008 with her Associate of Applied Science Degree for the Non-Lawyer Advocacy Option and has been working in the legal field for about 10 years in various practice areas. She is also a Certified Pharmacy Technician, which brings another level of experience and education to her work.
MJ enjoys spending time with her husband, close friends, and family. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, wine tasting, and being an avid reader. She likes being around positive, happy individuals. MJ also has three fur babies, whom she adores and talks about frequently as if they were humans.
Edith Colin Huerta
Paralegal [Certificated]
Edith Colin Huerta is a paralegal with Bertolino LLP, providing legal support to firm attorneys.
With a background in criminal defense and a strong academic foundation in political science, Edith holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Texas. Known for her attention to detail and organized approach, she brings valuable support to legal teams in high-pressure environments.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs and actively participates in a local book club that reflects her love for literature and meaningful conversation.
Cimone Murphree
Public Education & Regulatory Awareness Manager
Producer and Host of Know Your Regulator: The Podcast
Cimone Murphree serves as the Public Education and Regulatory Awareness Manager at Bertolino LLP, where she leads the Know Your Regulator initiative, producing podcast episodes, curating timely updates, and coordinating public outreach efforts. Her work supports licensed professionals across Texas in understanding their rights, responsibilities, and risks when it comes to regulatory compliance.
Cimone brings a unique perspective to her role, with a background in the medical field as a former medical assistant at a regenerative medicine clinic. She joined Bertolino LLP as an administrative assistant and has since grown into a leadership position focused on education, communication, and advocacy.
Outside of work, Cimone enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their pets, as well as exploring the local music scene.
Jasen Dalus
Client Success Manager
Jasen Dalus is a Client Success Manager with Bertolino LLP and his role is to oversee the full intake and onboarding experience for prospective and new clients, supervise the Client Success team, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure seamless communication and exceptional service delivery.
Mr. Dalus’s primary objective is to be a valuable asset and not only deliver world-class service to prospective clients but also world-class leadership to the team. Drawing from his extensive experience in entrepreneurship working alongside many brokerage owners and leaders who have mentored him in the past and present, he is committed to growing as a leader, prioritizing clients’ needs, and giving his utmost dedication in every situation.
As an activity-focused, results-driven individual, Jasen enjoys helping his wife grow her beauty business as her own personal consultant, while committing to his passion on helping middle-class families create financial game plans, ensuring they are well-equipped for generational wealth.
Donald “DJ” Collora
Client Success Intake Specialist
Donald is the first point of contact for new clients at Bertolino LLP, guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and care. Mr. Collora ensures that clients receive the support they need from the start.
With a strong background in customer service and client relations, Donald is skilled at listening, problem-solving, and making clients feel heard. His attention to detail and commitment to efficiency helps streamline the intake experience.
Outside of work, Donald, or “DJ” as he is known to his friends and family, enjoys spending time with his two children and a day at Zilker park. DJ enjoys true crime, documentaries, video games and thrillers.
Dena Lackey
Marketing Specialist
As the Marketing Specialist at Bertolino LLP, Dena Lackey is committed to supporting the firm’s mission of delivering exceptional legal services by enhancing branding, visibility, and client engagement. She collaborates with the team to develop innovative marketing strategies that put client needs first and drive the firm’s success.
With a degree in Economics from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Dena brings a data-driven approach to marketing. She combines analytical insights with creative strategies to create campaigns that resonate with audiences and achieve measurable results.
Outside of the office, Dena enjoys spending time outdoors, either working in the garden or hiking in area parks. She and her husband often take weekend trips to Texas’ national and state parks, savoring the seasonal changes and exploring the unique small towns surrounding these natural treasures.
