Chief Operating Officer
Sheri L. Middlemas serves as Chief Operating Officer with BERTOLINO LLP and is responsible for the firm’s business development and strategy. With over 20 years of proven success in operations management, Ms. Middlemas’ extensive experience is a testament to her proficiency in recognizing evolving industry dynamics and swiftly adapting to them, thereby enabling her to provide invaluable insights into uncharted opportunities for fostering new avenues of growth and expansion.
With her extensive background in legal operations management, Sheri has masterfully navigated the intricacies of the legal landscape, enabling Bertolino Law Firm to thrive in a competitive market. Her expertise lies in devising and implementing efficient processes that optimize workflow, resource allocation, and client relations. As a results-oriented leader, Sheri has a proven track record of driving revenue growth and bolstering the firm’s reputation through strategic planning and meticulous execution.

As a former radio personality and talk show host, Sheri considers it fate that landed her in the music capital of the world. When not in the office, she enjoys exploring everything Austin has to offer, including the deep-rooted history, fantastic food, and the diverse music scene.

London de le Teja
Accounts Receivable Manager
London T. de la Teja serves as the Accounts Receivable Manager for Bertolino LLP and is responsible for maintaining client accounts and receivables, setting objectives for the account receivable team, monitoring processing of invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
Ms. De la Teja has developed trusting relationships with our clients and understands how to best meet their needs and assist them with their financial matters.
She has created and produced several new processes and policies to help our clients fund their case matters successfully. This includes creating and publishing several newsletter articles to inform clients about financial practices. London has implemented one-on-one calls for accounts receivable guidance and lending and financial assistance.
London was raised in Kauai, Hawaii, where she learned to swim before she could walk. Her roots run deep in the Hawaiian Islands. She moved with her family to Texas later in her life, where she received her business and mass communication degree at Texas State University. There, she formed her strengths in people skills and a business-forward attitude. London has been a part of several organizations that have helped form her today, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness and volunteering at local food banks and animal shelters. Not only does she enjoy helping people at work, but she also loves spending time with her house full of boys. On weekends, you can catch her finding the closest coffee shop and catching a country music concert.

Melissa “MJ” Hooper
Paralegal [Certificated]
Melissa “MJ” Hooper is a paralegal with Bertolino LLP. She provides legal support to all attorneys within the firm. Mrs. Hooper is a reliable employee who takes pride in her work. Additionally, she considers herself versatile and is committed to both individual and team success.
Mrs. Hooper graduated from San Antonio Community College in 2008 with her Associate of Applied Science Degree for the Non-Lawyer Advocacy Option and has been working in the legal field for about 10 years in various practice areas. She is also a Certified Pharmacy Technician, which brings another level of experience/education to her work.
MJ enjoys spending time with her husband, close friends, and family. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, wine tasting, and being an avid reader. She likes being around positive, happy individuals. MJ also has three fur babies, whom she adores and talks about frequently as if they were humans.
Lesa Surber
Paralegal [Certificated]
Lesa Surber is a Paralegal at Bertolino LLP. She is the newest addition and is very excited to work with a wonderful community of professionals. Mrs. Surber is responsible for providing legal support within the firm.
She graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with minors in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Forensic Psychology. In 2019, she continued her path at Texas State University and graduated with a master’s degree in legal studies with a Paralegal Certificate. She has five years of experience working in different areas of law and enjoys interacting with the people she meets.
Lesa is originally from West Texas and moved to Austin in 1996. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two fur babies. She loves autobiographies, documentaries, karaoke, baking, and road trips to visit family.
Jasen Dalus
Client Success Liaison
Jasen Dalus is a Client Success Liaison with Bertolino LLP and, as the primary point of contact, is responsible for building strong relationships and guiding our prospective clients through onboarding.
Mr. Dalus’s primary objective is to be a valuable asset and deliver world-class service to prospective clients. Drawing from his extensive experience in entrepreneurship working alongside many brokerage owners and leaders who have mentored him, he is committed to being a leader, prioritizing clients’ needs, and giving his utmost dedication in every situation.
A native of Florida, Jasen enjoys portrait photography, going out to dinner with his wife, and creating memorable experiences along the way. Beyond photography, he’s passionate about helping middle-class families create financial game plans, ensuring they are well-equipped for generational wealth.
Cimone Murphree
Administrative Assistant and Project Liaison
Cimone Murphree is an Administrative Assistant and Project Liaison with Bertolino LLP, responsible for providing administrative support within the Firm. She prides herself on providing exceptional service and communication to established and prospective clients.
Before joining the Bertolino team, Mrs. Murphree worked in the healthcare industry for nearly a decade. During this time, she worked tenaciously alongside medical professionals as an asset to their team, ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate communication.
As a native Austinite, Cimone enjoys exploring the natural hill country with her husband and two children. When she’s not out enjoying the local music scene, you can find her curled up on the couch watching a movie or bingeing the latest Netflix shows.
